The Story (in a nutshell):
As a part of my thesis exhibition i designed an alphabet that was intended to make a unique series of 26 prints. i say 'intended' because half-way through the project, i slipped a disc in my lower back and was told that the repetition of bending over the table to pull prints could cause permanent, irreparable damage to my back. After some encouraging conversations with a sculpture professor, i decided to instead turn the project into an installation mural in response to the injury, capitalizing on the fact that screen printing on a wall would require no bending. So, after prepping a 25 foot stretch of wall, i gratefully utilized the invaluable assistance of the students from my screen printing class to execute the project. The results were impressive. The background was essentially a 25'x3' test print using the process cyan, magenta, and yellow with the entire alphabet in black laid out on top from Z to A.
